Opulence Designs ("Opulence," "we," "us," or "our") operates opulencexdesigns.com and related pages hosted at links.opulencexdesigns.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our sites or work with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have questions at any point, email [email protected].
By using our websites, booking a call, filling out a form, or subscribing to our messages, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Opulence Designs is a United States based marketing consulting business owned and operated by Jill Johnson. We provide marketing and revenue systems consulting for event venue owners and event planners. We are the "controller" of the personal information described in this policy, which is a legal way of saying we decide how and why it is used.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number
- Business information, such as your company name, website, social media handles, services, and revenue or goals you choose to share
- Anything you type into a form, quiz, survey, booking page, or message to us
We collect this through our contact and lead forms, quiz funnels, booking calendars, and automated responders that reply when you comment a keyword or send us a direct message on social media.
We also collect some information automatically when you visit our sites, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you found us. This comes from cookies and similar tracking technologies, described below.
If you become a client, we may also collect billing details and meeting recordings, along with materials you share with us during our work together.
What we do not collect: we never see or store your full payment card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card data goes directly to them.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and deliver quiz or assessment results you requested
- Schedule and hold calls and meetings, and send you reminders about them
- Provide consulting services if you become a client
- Send you marketing emails and text messages, if you opted in
- Run and measure advertising on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google
- Improve our website, offers, and content
- Process payments and keep business records
- Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse
Our legal bases, in plain language
Where the law requires a stated reason for using your information, ours are:
- Your consent, for example when you opt in to marketing emails or texts. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Performing a contract, for example when we need your information to deliver services you hired us for
- Our legitimate business interests, for example understanding how people use our site and reaching people likely to want our services, balanced against your privacy
- Legal compliance, for example keeping tax and payment records
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your phone number and opt in through one of our forms, booking pages, or by texting a keyword, we may send you text messages. These may include appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, replies to your inquiries, and marketing messages if you consented to them.
- Consent is collected through opt-in forms and keywords. Opting in is never a condition of purchase.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can reply HELP for assistance or email [email protected].
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your SMS opt-in and phone number are not sold, and are not shared with any third party for that third party's own marketing. We share phone numbers only with the platform providers that send messages on our behalf, such as GoHighLevel, and only so they can deliver those messages.
Email marketing
If you opt in to our email list, we will send you content and offers from time to time. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but not transactional emails, such as booking confirmations or invoices, which we still need to send you.
Meeting recordings
Discovery calls and client meetings held over Zoom may be recorded and transcribed, including through Fathom, an AI notetaking tool. Participants are given notice when recording is on. We use recordings and transcripts for note taking and service delivery. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us at the start of the meeting and we will turn recording off.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay us, your card details go directly to Stripe under their own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment and basic transaction details, not your full card number.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only for that purpose. These currently include:
- GoHighLevel, our CRM, which powers our funnels, forms, calendars, and email and SMS sending
- Stripe, for payment processing
- Google, for calendar scheduling, file storage, and analytics
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and the automated DM and comment responders described above
- Zoom and Fathom, for meeting recordings and transcripts
- Website and scheduling providers, such as Squarespace, that host our pages
Each of these providers handles your information under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our legal rights, or as part of a business sale or restructuring, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Cookies and tracking
Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and show you relevant ads. Specifically:
- Analytics tools, including Google analytics tools, help us understand which pages people visit and how they got there.
- The Meta Pixel helps us measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show ads to people who visited our site.
- Our funnel and booking pages on GoHighLevel use similar tracking to measure form completions and bookings.
- Squarespace, our website host, sets cookies the site needs to function.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. You can also limit ad personalization through your Facebook and Google account settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it. In practice:
- Lead and subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed or in active conversation with us, and for a reasonable period afterward
- Form and quiz responses are kept while they stay relevant to serving you
- Client records, contracts, and payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes
- Meeting recordings and transcripts are kept while relevant to the work and then deleted or archived
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information, including access controls and reliance on established platforms with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
Children
Our websites and services are for business owners and professionals. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
No matter where you live, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of marketing at any time, by unsubscribe link for email or by replying STOP for texts
To make any of these requests, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to verify it is really you. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
California residents
If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you specific rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to correct it, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising tools like the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out of that by emailing [email protected] or adjusting your cookie and ad settings as described above. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a separate right to limit. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests for you.
Visitors from the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions
Our services are aimed at the United States market, but if you visit from a jurisdiction with GDPR-style protections, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, as well as the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, though we would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first at [email protected].
Links to other sites
Our sites link to third-party websites and platforms, including social media. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies. Review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will post the new version here with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be announced by email or a site notice. Continued use of our sites after an update means you accept the revised policy.
